Week 34 : "TRANSFERS?! Oh that's worse than cancer"

^^^^Marriane is hard of hearing and when we told her that transfers were coming up, she thought we said cancer. The above caption was her response.  I'm not sure that I quite agree with that, but it was pretty hilarious!

Hey everybody! This week was pretty average. I honestly can't think of anything super crazy.

*Nora is so awesome! She's been going through a hard time recently, so we've been making visits to her. The members are really getting involved. Over the next few weeks they will be opening their homes so that we can start teaching her the lessons! We've been trying to do it delicately with her, but she has shown SO many signs of wanting to learn more, so we're gonna run with it!

*We were able to get in contact with Eve, the Yorba Linda 5th Sisters' neighbor. It was a crazy hectic time, but we were able to chat for a few minutes. Then SHE asked, "So when are you coming back over? I really love when you're here!" THE SPIRIT! We'll be going over this week and we're hoping to talk with her more about our message and see what her interest level is.

*The progress with our current investigators has been a little slow with the holidays, illness (seriously, the flu this year is BAD), and schedules. Really, the adversary works SO hard as he sees you start to make changes and become better. We've been trying to be patient and help them along as best we can. We're still continuing to find to be able to teach more people.

*We finally were able to have a mini lesson with Marriane last night. She's usually all over the place, but last night, she started asking why there are so many different religions. We were able to share different points of the Restoration and testify to her. She said she really appreciates learning more about it and loves what we believe. I've never felt the Spirit so strongly with her before! It was awesome! She is slowly progressing and that's awesome!

*Well, the moment you've all been waiting for: transfers! Aaaaaand, I'm staying in the Yorba Linda 4th ward with Sister Jensen for another 6 weeks. I really wasn't expecting to stay here because I've already been here for 4 months, but it's where the Lord needs me. I really want to work hard this next transfer to continue to help build up the area. I know there are many more truth seekers here; we've just got to find them ;)

*My mind has just been so consumed with the Atonement lately. As I've continued to ponder and study about the Savior and His Great Sacrifice, my heart is filled with overwhelming joy and gratitude. Not only has He taken upon Himself our sins, but also our temptations and our infirmities. He descended below ALL things so that he could better succor His people! (Alma 7:11-13) He knows you and your struggles. As you turn to Him, He WILL help you and provide the comfort that you need, no matter what life may throw at you. I know this to be true because I have felt this in my life, especially being on a mission and being away from so many comforts. We really do have to turn to Him in all things. Allow Him to carry your burdens! He loves you and wants to help you!

Love you all! Have a great week!
